This is a collaborative process closely partnering you, the owner, together with your design team and contractor, using the talents and experience of all of the team members to determine the best, most economical design. Most often, the design / build team is working toward a specific budget. At various times throughout the design process, A. P. Williams will solicit competitive bids from local subcontractors and suppliers. We then work together with you and the design team to review those bids and select our project subcontractors and suppliers. Using this process, you can more clearly understand the construction budget from an owner's perspective and make more informed decisions if adjustments to the project scope are mandated to meet the established budget.

Another great advantage of having your contractor involved during the design phase is that this will naturally eliminate the potential for many of the change orders that often arise on competitively bid projects. This offers you increased peace of mind that our project budget is solid. The design / build process as implemented by A. P.
